Open Question: Employment in North Carolina?

I am moving to Cary, NC per my husbands job transfer...I dont' know anyone there, don't have a job..? I am completely unsure of where to start looking for basically, everything. He will be working nonstop. I don't know my way around the area, don't know where to look for jobs, or hell even a place to shop. We are moving this weekend! And it happened so fast. I want to know where is the best place to eat, shop, look for employment, how to make new friends??? We are actually about 30 minutes south of Cary, NC. So when I look for jobs sometimes Fayetteville is closer or Raleigh or Asheboro! Totally lost. Anyone have non-sarcastic and genuine real answers, please I would love the help and advice.
