Resolved Question: Is it safe to fly home Christmas Eve from New York?

When I say 'safe', I mean will I get home by Christmas without being stuck spending the night in an airport on Christmas Eve? We are planning on flying out of LaGuardia into Raleigh, NC as early as possible (direct flight) on December 24th.
